I don't intend on becoming obsessed with quilting, but I'd like to be able to do it well when I want something. If I can master the sewing thing, I'll also have a wider variety of ways to finish off my cross stitch pieces.
Here is the update on Leprechauns and Luck. I'm finding that I really enjoy doing the border. I figured that I'd get bored with it. Of course, I'm trying to do a little bit of it at a time as I do the inside squares so that I'm not left with it all for the end. I've done a bit more on Red Thread, but I probably won't take another picture until I finish off the square that I'm working on.

A friend recently invited me to join Facebook. I'm amazed at the number of folks from my past that are on it. I've really enjoyed touching base with a few of the folks from my past. I'm amazed at how many of my friends now have grandchildren. Funny, but I never thought of myself as being that old, LOL. Hopefully, it will be a while for me since my boys are only 13 and 11. I guess it just took me a while to find that right person and get started. I guess the down side of this is that as a grandmother, I won't have as much time to enjoy the grand kids.
Cheers,

That's wonderful Kim! It's always good to learn new things :o)
Your piece is coming along nicely.
I refuse to join Facebook. I figure the people I really want to know where I am, already do ;o)
Lovely job with the placemat, my Mum is a quilter and having those 1/4" seams down pat is quite important.
Your WIP is coming along nicely!
Well done with your placemats. I to want to learn to quilt but only for a couple of projects, not as a new hobby.
Leprechans is coming along great! I think your placemat looks wonderful.
Your placemat looks wonderful, and nice progress on Luck. The little squares are such fun. I haven't started my border yet, but will soon so don't end up with having all of it to do left until the end.
