After way too much time, here is the picture of Be Scary by Just Nan. It isn't the best, but I here my boys coming downstairs. It is only a matter of time before they will be down here asking me to use my computer and then hovering around my shoulders until I relent. The owl charm has tilted a bit and normally lies straight up and down. You cannot really see the moon in the tree on the far left. I was having great difficulty getting the Kreinik to lie nicely, so I substituted in a Glissen Gloss fiber. I always think of the moon as more silvery than gold so I got a fiber that was part silver and part gold. I'm much happier with it although you really cannot see it in this post.
There is not anything new on the stitching front as I've been busy with the boys. We had a friend in from out of town last week, so I was chauffer and chaperone for their various outings. This week Joshua has a zoo camp, which shows him how a zoo actually operates. Since the camp is only 2.5 hours and it takes me 30 mins to get there, I just wait on him. There is a beautiful park nearby. I know this would be a great time to stitch, however, I'm one of those crazy Harry Potter fans. Once the fifth movie came out and my family did nothing but talk of things left out (things that did not occur to me BTW!) I decided to start reading the series from the beginning so that I will be able to tie everything together in the 7th book. So, here I am without any stitching to show, but I'm on the 5th book!

Your finish is lovely! Congrats. Believe it or not I have never seen or read any of Harry Potter. I think it's pretty good that you are on the fifth book-as they seem rather big.
Be Scary turned out wonderful, I love the spiders and the crazy witches (their hair is great). Congratulations on getting it done.
Reading all the HP's so you get all the details is a great idea, and something I want to do as well. I've read some, missed some but saw the movie, and have the last one. However, doing it that way I've lost a lot of the stuff that would pull the story together.

Wow! Your finish is gorgeous!! I love all things autumn!
I am also on the fifth book of HP as well, and wow! They sure did leave out lotsa stuff from that movie, of course if they'd put everything in, the movie would have been like 4 hours long! I am such a Harry fan! And I find myself having to do a toss up:" Do I read HP? Or do I stitch? hmmm...?"
I love Be Scary, it's excellent.
I am a HP fan myself and I also tend to re-read the books after watching a movie. :) And my husband always complains about things that were left out of the picture, no matter how often I explain that the movies should be 8 hours long if they followed the story page by page. :)
Congrats on your finish it looks great!
I think it looks great. Can't wait to see what is next.
